King’s North Honored By “Good Sam Club”
06/04/2007
The Good Sam Club recently recognized King’s North at Myrtle Beach National as the 2006 “Golf Course Welcome Mat” award winner, as selected by their members. King’s North, one of three Arnold Palmer signature courses at the Myrtle Beach National Golf Club in Myrtle Beach, was one of only 22 U.S. “Welcome Mat” award winners. Recipients of this prestigious award will be honored during the July 19th awards ceremony in Redmond, Oregon.
The Good Sam Club is the world’s largest RV owners’ organization that was founded 40 years ago and now boasts more than 1,000,000 members. Each year, the members vote on the United States businesses that roll out the “red carpet” of good customer service. King’s North was honored for treating RV owners well in 2006 and defeated 2005 winner, Hiddenbrooke Golf Club in Vallejo, California.
“Customer service is an important part of running a successful golf course operation,” said Jim Woodring, vice president of golf operations for Myrtle Beach National. “The national golf market is exceptionally competitive, so to be singled out as the best is quite the honor.”
