Willbrook Plantation Hosts Pawleys Island Youth Cup

Fundraising Golf Tournament to be Held Saturday, June 2nd

May 24, 2007, Pawleys Island, S.C. – The 11th annual Pawleys Island Youth Cup Golf Tournament will be hosted at Willbrook Plantation Golf Club, June 2nd. The event benefits Teach My People, a local organization that helps provide educational support for hundreds of children, youth and families of the Waccamaw school district to overcome academic, economic and social challenges. Through Teach My People’s Youth Camp, the community’s young people find structure and support through after-school and summer programs. The 2006 event raised more than $12,000 for the charitable organization. Registration for the tournament begins at 1:00 p.m. with a shotgun start at 2:30 p.m. Deadline for registration is June 1. Entry fee is $100 per player with a captain’s choice format. The golf will be followed by a barbeque dinner. Spouses and guests are invited for an additional $10 per person.
