Fresh Looks and New Furniture Coming to Long Bay Resort This Winter
We here at Long Bay Resort in Myrtle Beach like to keep things fresh. That’s why every winter, we assess our property and run through touch ups and renovations big and small that will help make your next stay even better.
This winter, we have some big and small renovations coming your way for an even better 2014 vacation experience. The biggest one … well, you’re going to have to wait for the biggest news about what’s coming in 2014, we can’t quite announce it yet. But definitely stay tuned …
One of our other big projects that we’ve already begun is a total “knockdown” of the walls in our standard rooms and suites. We’ll be pulling down all the wallpaper, texturing and painting walls, and adding crown molding. “It really freshens up the rooms—it’s amazing what a difference this makes in there. They’re so much lighter, brighter and fresher this way,” said Bill Pennauchi, general manager of The Long Bay Resort.
Those updates are in addition to a tile backsplash that will be added to the kitchens, which themselves were updated just last year with gorgeous new granite countertops and brand new cabinets, as were all of our condo units.
The condos, too, are getting a fresh new look in addition to the kitchen remodel from winter 2012-2013. “In the condos we’re getting all new end tables, coffee tables, new media centers, and new lounge chairs in the living room,” Pennauchi said. “It’s all coordinated really well—there’s this great beachy feel, but it’s really clean and fresh, a much more modern look.”
In addition to all of these updates, we’ll also be doing small updates and projects all over the property, from pavers to new tile to touching up paint. And, of course, as we mentioned before, there’s one more very BIG project that’s coming down the pipe … we’ll let you know as soon as we can, so check back here soon!
