Dragon’s Lair Fantasy Golf: Unforgettable Mini-Golf in Myrtle Beach

One of these unforgettable sites for mini-golf is Dragon’s Lair Fantasy Golf, located at Broadway at the Beach, a 350-acre entertainment, shopping and dining complex that welcomes scores of thousands of visitors every year.

Dragon’s Lair offers just the right mix of challenge, ambiance and fun to keep all aspiring putt-putt champs interested, from groups of golfers unwinding after a day on the (big-time) links to families playing together for the first time. The facility features two 18-hole courses—the Viking Course and the Dragon Course.  The Dragon Course is compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act, making it wheelchair-friendly.  Both courses feature an exciting mix of par 2s and par 3s—par is 43 on the Dragon Course, 43 on the Viking Course.  Both courses weave in and out of caves, up and over hills and around sparkling water features.

Stone castle scenery is the aesthetic centerpiece of the scene at Dragon’s Lair. Every few minutes, a 30-foot dragon rises out of one of the parapets to address the crowd and belches fire into the air.  It’s quite a spectacle, and even more brilliant at night.

In addition to general play, Dragon’s Lair Fantasy golf offers help organizing group outings, birthday parties, family reunions, corporate outings, school trips and charity events.

Dragon’s Lair Fantasy Golf is open from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 p.m. until September 2.  For the remainder of the fall, closing hours fall at either 9:00 p.m. or 10:00 p.m. on weekdays and weekends, respectively.

Admission is $9.00 before 6:00 p.m. and $10.00 after 6:00 p.m.  For those wishing to play multiple rounds, an all-day rate of $15.00 per person is available until 6:00 p.m. as well.
